Jewellery – What's Your Style?

While shopping at a new retail store with a friend, I came across the jewellery section and found that it was the most thronged of all sections. Having been a student of psychology, this was something really interesting to see. New fashioned dresses and designer outfits do enjoy their own place in every woman's life, but jewellery has its own special corner inside a woman's heart.

Jewellery is not just loved by women. Even men are quite fond of wearing them. From bracelets and rings to chains and pendants, men love wearing nearly all kinds of jewellery. I, personally, like the ear rings that men wear. It makes them look so cool and trendy. I also like boys wearing beaded bracelets. They are also quite the 'in' thing.

Jewellery, in other words, help us express our personality and our mood the best. And we always thought our outfits matter the most.

Jewellery and the Rules of Wearing Them

Life is great and it is made beautiful with jewellery. We all love wearing jewellery, and by all I mean everyone, including men. Jewellery is an inseparable part of our lives. And we have a set of jewellery for different occasions. There are jewellery designed for party wear and again there we have categorised them. Some are meant for high profile events and big occasions, while some are meant for small evening get-togethers.

Apart from that, we have jewellery for office wear and jewellery for outings and gatherings with friends. Again, in office wear, we keep some of our jewellery separated for special events like corporate meetings and client visits, while some are used on a regular basis in our day to day activities. And then there are fun jewellery which we like to wear when we go out with friends, hit the film theatres and night clubs.

Jewellery and clothes are the best way to express our mood. Every occasion has a tacit rule about the dresses and jewellery one can wear. If we go past the line, we may land up in embarrassing situations.

Jewellery Since time immemorial

We have been fascinated with jewellery from time immemorial. From the time man was hunting half-naked and living in caves, there was always the need to look good for the women. The fascination with adorning oneself has not died down. In fact, it is raging now.

Women see jewellery as a means to beautify themselves. In fact, if truth be told, it augments their confidence as well. However, less is always more, I feel. It is not the quantity of the gemstones bedecking your body, but the quality of the same that make heads turn. Ask men these days. They will testify to that.

So, the next time you are going to a jewellery store, keep one thing ion mind. Buy stuff that amplifies the beauty of your features. Jewellery helps you stand out, not the other way around.
